Rovio, Angry Birds and Bad Piggies' creator plans to create a quite real world of the naughty characters. Toys and fan clubs weren't enough, the Finnish company thinks now of books and even movies, so everybody can get a taste of the angry passion. But will Angry Birds and Bad Piggies make the magic all the time?

If you ask my little niece what she has been doing all day long, she would say Angry Birds, Angry Birds, now she is getting updated for the Bad Piggies too. I don't deny their attractiveness, since I play them too in my lunch break, but I won't spend my pocket change for souvenirs, as Rovio hopes.
Angry Birds has become such a legend with a long suite of toys, books, t-shirts, cereals, movies and now the fresh sequel, Bad Piggies, so everybody is curious how long would it last? Recently, Rovio has launched the first ever book app, which didn't surprise anybody. It's always about the same colorful, naughty catapulting birds onto the structures made by the bad, green, dirty pigs. If there will be an official book app about the Bad Piggies, I'm sure their roles will be simply switched and nothing more.

It seems that next week Rovio will unveil its first e-book app market, during the Frankfurt Book Fair. A Rovio spokesperson confirms the fact and added that there will be multiple book apps coming as soon as possible. Honestly, what is Rovio trying to do? Does it try to transform the brand (Angry Birds + Bad Piggies) into a sort of never-ending manga?
Let's admit that Rovio is that self-confident. What kind of format should the app take? There have been e-books that are effectively parts of printed books and mobile apps that are in fact games. Rovio can have a chance to create an attractive hybrid product, since the games themselves can be compared with books, being based on narrative, interactive structures.
There have been some opinions regarding the big threat representing by the naughty birds to the publishing industry. I don't see them getting in competition with Hunger Games, but let's see what kind of reception the mighty crew will get next week.
